The JGA Strokeplay competition has started; Year 1  - Round 1 at Massereene GC, 22nd Sept and Year 2 - Round 1 at Castlerock GC, 24th Sept. Results will be posted.

Unbeaten! 
  • After an unbeaten record in 2009, the JGA Team played their first fixture for 2010 on Feb 16th and 17th against Ulster GUI Squad at Royal Portrush. The match was exciting again and over the two days the JGA won overall – still meaning we are unbeaten as a Team! Thanks you to everyone involved and especially the GUI Ulster Branch for supporting the event.
 Recruitment numbers rise again for September 2010 – Limited places available Gareth Maybin and Michael Hoey visit Academy....
  • The two Irish players visited the Academy just before Christmas and were kind enough to spend an afternoon with the students. Both Gareth and Michael took time out of their busy schedules to chat with the students and interact with them regarding the programme. “It was really exciting to see that we are doing the same sort of training that Gareth and Michael are – it’s excellent – fitness, psychology, food diaries, etc”, said one student.
New PGA Pro joins the team....
  • Gavin Hamlyn, PGA Pro has joined the team for 2010. Gavin, originally from New Zealand, brings a wealth of experience with him, having worked and travelled in a number of countries. He will be taking on the position of Head of Performance, especially having a Masters in Golf Psychology. “This has been a great move for me and I am really enjoying interacting with the students and staff”, said Gavin.
JGA ex student joins the team.....
  • Phil Moore, a JGA student who graduated in 2009, has joined the team as Coaching Assistant. Phil graduated with the highest grades available, achieving three Distinctions (3 As at A Level equiv) and will be working with the team until September 2010 – whereby he will be joining the PGA Course at the Belfry. Phil has just completed his Level 1 PGA and is a valuable team member. Good luck Phil and keep up the good work....
JGA Management team open new UK venture with Lee Westwood
  • September 2010 sees the launch of the Lee Westwood Golf School, based at Portal Golf & Spa, Cheshire in England. Karl Morris, founder and Programme Director of the JGA stated “this is an exciting new venture and I am delighted to be involved in such an exciting project”. Come train with us at the JGA – 2010 Training Camps and Sunday training
  • On the back of the success of the summer and winter camps, we are now running our next Training Camp on March 30th- April 1st and April 7th – 9th 2010. Using the new golf facilities, this is a must for all young golfers aged 7 – 16. Training will include usage of Greenmount facilities, including; 8 bay driving range, 3 hole technical course and the fantastic short game area.
